More Than $42,000 In “AeroScholarships” Available
September 11, 2008 — Generous donor support has provided more than $42,000 in scholarships for EAA’s AeroScholars program this academic year, allowing many high school students ages 14-18 the opportunity to learn math and science through the accredited online aviation courses. AeroScholars also gives students a valuable head start on college, as they can earn up to six college credits.
The two online AeroScholars aviation science courses - Fundamentals of Aviation and Advanced Aviation - also prepare students to take the FAA Private Pilot written examination as well as explore aviation career possibilities.
The “AeroScholarships” include course materials, live help and technical support, college credit upon successful completion, and a one-year EAA student membership. Both fall and spring semester scholarships are available, but you need to act now - fall semester applications must be received by September 26, 2008 and the spring semester application deadline is January 8, 2009.
