Poberezny to Attend Chapter 1405 Fly-In Saturday

July 10, 2008 — EAA President Tom Poberezny will join Congressman Sam Graves at Saturday’s annual Wing Nuts Flying Circus Fly-In sponsored by Chapter 1405 at the Gould Peterson Memorial Airport (K57) in Tarkio, Missouri. Poberezny and Congressman Graves, who is a chapter member, will be joined by Phil Boyer, president of AOPA and Ed Bolen, president of NBAA at an aviation town hall meeting beginning at 8:45 a.m. Poberezny will lead off with a discussion of what the future holds for sport pilot/light-sport aircraft. Congressman Graves will also lead a Q&A session. Following the town hall meeting will a number of special fly bys by current and vintage military aircraft including the C-130 Hercules, B-2 Bomber, F-18 Hornet, A-10 Warthog, F-15 Eagle, and P-51 Mustangs, among others. Static display aircraft throughout the day include several military helicopters and aircraft along with numerous vintage airplanes.
