Poberezny Recovering After Successful Surgery
January 17, 2008 — EAA President Tom Poberezny underwent successful prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday and will spend several weeks recovering.
“While this was an unwelcome surprise, the good news is that it was caught at a very early stage,” the 61-year-old Poberezny said. “I elected to have prostate surgery in order to address this proactively. The success rate of this surgery, when done early, is extremely high. Sharon and I are very optimistic about a positive future outcome.”
During Poberezny’s absence, an operational plan is in place that will provide leadership for all EAA programs.
