Harley-Davidson V-Rod Auction Nets $18,500 For EAA Youth Education Programs
July 2, 2007 — EAA's auction for a new, customized 2006 Harley-Davidson V-Rod to benefit EAA's youth education programs and activities has concluded with a winning bid of $18,500. Capt. Denis Murphy placed the winning bid for the V-Rod, which was generously donated by Harley-Davidson Motor Company. His top bid includes not only the motorcycle, but several bonus prizes including:
- A genuine Harley-Davidson leather jacket autographed by Willie G. Davidson, grandson of Harley-Davidson co-founder William A. Davidson.
- An EAA Lifetime Membership;
- Two weekly passes to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007 along with a weekly parking pass;
- And a one-day access pass to the Air Show Performer's Tent for flightline-seated viewing of an afternoon air show at AirVenture!
