Keys To Diamond DA40 And Other Prizes Go To EAA Winners Who Join, Renew OR Recruit
January 30, 2006 — A passion for aviation and an EAA membership are all a person needs to have the chance to fly a new Diamond DA40 four-place airplane as the grand-prize winner of the 2006 EAA membership drawings.
A two-year lease on this innovative aircraft, provided by Diamond Aircraft Industries, is just one of the many prizes available to individuals who join EAA, renew a membership or recruit a member during 2006. EAA, the organization dedicated to enhancing participation in and enjoyment of recreational aviation, is also conducting monthly drawings for prizes valued at $1,000 or more throughout the year.
"Our grand-prize aircraft lease will open up a wonderful world of aviation to one of our lucky new or rejoining members," said Tom Poberezny, EAA president. "To enjoy the use of a state-of-the art, high-performance aircraft like the DA40 is a dream for many aviation enthusiasts. It's a great way for an EAA member to enjoy the sky."
Peter Maurer, Diamond president, said the company donated the aircraft to show its commitment to the values that his company and EAA members share.
"At Diamond, we are constantly seeking new aviation innovations and pioneering new ways to help people experience the joy and freedom of flight," he said. "EAA keeps the flame of passionate participation in aviation alive, building and sustaining a community of enthusiasts. This pairing was a natural match."
To qualify for the drawings, individuals must simply join EAA, renew an existing membership, or recruit a new member in 2006. Those who recruit a member will become EAA Mentor Members and will receive an EAA retro alarm clock. Furthermore, Mentor Members will be entered in a drawing for a 2006 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-RodŽ with a custom EAA logo paint scheme.
EAA will showcase the DA40 prize airplane in its Member Village during EAA AirVenture 2006, "The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration," July 24-30 at Wittman Regional Airport and the adjacent EAA grounds.
Organizations donating prizes for the monthly drawings are: Bose, Canon USA, EAA, Falcon Insurance, Garmin, John Deere, J.P. Instruments, King Schools, Klein Tools, Lincoln Electric, Scheme Designs, and Shell Aviation.
