Win a New Aviat Husky in the 2007 EAA Airplane Sweepstakes!

Online Entry Option Available This Year

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. - (November 8, 2006) — The perfect airplane for back-country or fun flying, a 2007 Aviat Husky, will be going to one lucky recipient at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007, when the winning ticket is drawn in the EAA Airplane Sweepstakes.

That sweepstakes is now underway, with entry tickets included in the November edition of EAA Sport Aviation magazine. In addition, aviation enthusiasts in the U.S. (except Puerto Rico and all other territories) and Canada (except for Quebec) can now enter the sweepstakes via online registration and entry, simply by going to www.airventure.org/sweepstakes for complete details and entry forms.

"With the excitement generated when EAA gave away an Aviat Husky on floats earlier this year, we know that the 2007 edition of the EAA Aircraft Sweepstakes will be more popular than ever, as people imagine themselves at the controls of this wonderful airplane," said Elissa Lines, EAA's vice president of development. "This is truly an aviation industry-supported sweepstakes as well, beginning with the donation of the airplane by Aviat, and further donated support from leading companies such as Lycoming, Hartzell, Garmin, AmSafe, Alaskan Bushwheels, and Oregon Aero."

This year's grand-prize Husky, donated by Aviat Aircraft Inc. is a true backcountry dream machine with a 180-horsepower Lycoming engine and Hartzell constant-speed propeller. The airplane is mounted on Alaskan Bushwheels 31-inch tundra tires, making it perfect for landing on nearly any surface. Along with AmSafe airbag shoulder harness restraints and Oregon Aero's comfortable seat cushion system, the aircraft also includes full Garmin GPS, transponder and communications avionics, plus XM music and weather radio.

Other donated prizes for the 2007 sweepstakes include a John Deere tractor, Bose Wave radio, Canon digital camera, and Honda ST1300 motorcycle.

"With a fully accessorized airplane ready for flight and participation easier than ever, it's a great opportunity to support a worthy cause and have a chance to win a dream machine for fun flying," Lines said. All proceeds from the EAA Aircraft Sweepstakes are used for EAA's youth education and aviation preservation efforts.
