Make the ‘EAA Four Corners’ Your First Stop at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016
May 19, 2016 - For the past four years, the intersection of Knapp Street and Celebration Way has been the hub of EAA information about membership, AirVenture, and pathways to aviation. This year we are excited to bring a refreshed layout of exhibits and exciting new activities to the location. Any visitor to AirVenture will want to make this their first stop to plan out their AirVenture activities, meet up with EAA staff and members, and find out what's going on throughout this exciting week.
Aptly renamed the EAA Four Corners as it occupies the corners of the intersection by our compass rose, these four venues will work together to fulfill the mission and purpose of EAA. Join us in the EAA Member Center, EAA AirVenture Welcome Center, EAA Discover Aviation Center, and EAA Pilot Proficiency Center.
This is an opportunity to refocus the efforts of this site to provide the best experience to guests and to also promote the mission of EAA. Using member and guest feedback, the spaces and activities were designed to give enhanced customer service, celebrate the excitement of aviation and inspire people to get involved.
A completely new venue, the EAA AirVenture Welcome Center will assist guests with finding in-depth information about what's going on at AirVenture and provide exclusive opportunities for autograph signings. The EAA Member Center has been updated to include more exclusive member services including a new Member Pro Shop filled with member-only EAA merchandise. The Discover Aviation Center will continue to introduce visitors to the adventure of flight and educate them about the pathways to becoming a pilot. Finally, the popular Pilot Proficiency Center moves to the Four Corners and joins the other EAA venues in this revitalized neighborhood.
Visit the centers’ websites to learn more about each Corner and watch for more announcements and updates.
