EAA Blogs

Mac McClellan is back in the "Left Seat." His new EAA blog, sponsored by Aspen Avionics, appears monthly in EAA Sport Aviation magazine as well as online at www.macsblog.com. McClellan's blog postings focus on the EAA pilot community and encompass flying experiences, flying techniques, weather, technology, and aircraft ownership. Selected blog entries will be featured each week in EAA's e-Hotline newsletter.

Follow EAA staff members at www.zenith750project.com as they come together to build a Zenith 750 during weekly build sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. EAA Communities Manager Chad Jensen will frequently provide updates accompanied by photos on how the aircraft, which was generously donated by Zenith Aircraft Company, is coming together. The build began on September 29, 2012, with a completion goal of Memorial Day 2013, when it will become available to EAA Employee Flying Club members.

EAA Multimedia Journalist Brady Lane and his friend Caleb are scratch-building a plane and keeping a video blog of their journey. Every Tuesday they stream live video as they work and invite you to watch, interact, ask questions, and offer advice. Neither have built anything remotely close to a plane before, but are taking this project one step at a time to show you don't have to be a rocket scientist or wealthy to build your very own flying machine. They're using only basic tools and learning as they go. Check in on the project and see what they're learning this week.
