The Republican National Convention being held in downtown Milwaukee on July 15-18 will greatly affect air operations over and around the Milwaukee area on those dates and could impact flight planning for pilots coming to Oshkosh early for EAA AirVent
EAA joined more than 30 general aviation organizations this week in sending a joint letter to Congress opposing legislation that would include ATC privatization.
As of this publication, the 21st Century Aviation Innovation, Reform, and Reauthorization Act (H.R. 2997), which includes provisions for ATC privatization, is still very much alive and gaining support on Capitol Hill.
